Dealing with the financial and emotional burdens of breast, cervical, uterine, or ovarian cancer are serious concerns. That's why Female Guard gives you peace of mind at every stage of your life.
This insurance is offered as an individual coverage available for a person with female reproductive organs resident of Puerto Rico between the ages of 18 to 64.
The coverage can be extended until the age of 69 if monthly insurance premium payments are up to date.
Surgery Expense Reimbursement
You will be eligible for reimbursement for expenses that do not exceed the usual, customary, and reasonable charges incurred during a surgical procedure recommended and performed by a physician.
Hospitalization Benefit
You will receive a cash benefit, according to the selected coverage, from day 4 of hospitalization to a maximum of 60 days due to a diagnosis of a covered type of cancer. To be eligible for this benefit, the hospitalization must be ordered by your attending physician.
Monthly Expenses Benefit
You will receive a cash benefit, according to the selected coverage, for a term of two after the diagnosis is confirmed. This benefit can be used for general household or daily living expenses.
Mastectomy Reimbursement
You will be eligible for reimbursement for expenses that do not exceed the usual, customary, and reasonable charges incurred during a mastectomy procedure recommended and performed by a physician.
Breast Reconstruction Reimbursement
You will be eligible for reimbursement for expenses that do not exceed the usual, customary, and reasonable charges incurred during a surgical procedure for breast reconstruction of a breast that was removed in a mastectomy surgery. The breast reconstruction must be performed by a specialist and must be performed solely to reconstruct the breast mass that was removed as a result of a covered cancer.
You can benefit from this coverage by selecting one of the three available plans with affordable monthly premiums starting at $5.50 depending on the selected plan and your age group.

Your coverage starts depending on your enrollment date.
If you enroll between the 1st and 10th of the month, your coverage effective date will be advanced to the 1st day of the current month.
If your enrollment is between the 11th and 30th or 31st of the month, the effective date of your coverage will be deferred to the 1st day of the next month.
Female Guard is an optional insurance that can be cancelled at any time.
The Insurance Code requires that you notify us in writing your interest in cancelling the policy including your full name, address, product you wish to cancel, and the certificate or policy number. You can send us your request:
